Another key ingredient in Thentix Pain Formula is Methyl Salicylate or Wintergreen.
Methyl Salicylate is commonly used for relief of pains and aches in muscles, sprains and joint pain such as rheumatism and arthritis. It can be used for temporary relief of minor back pain, strains as well as the above.
Methyl Salicylate is a topical analgesic.
(Analgesic [definition]: A medicine’s ability to relieve pain, or a drug that alleviates pain; the term comes from the Greek word algos , which means pain.)
Methyl Salicylate has an odor or wintergreen as it is a natural product of the wintergreen plant. (Duh!)
Wintergreen:[definition]:
1. A low-growing, creeping evergreen plant of North America, having solitary nodding white flowers, aromatic leaves, and spicy edible scarlet berries. Also called checkerberry, teaberry.
2. An oil or a flavoring obtained from this plant.
3.Any of several similar or related plants
Do use caution with this a similar products. Do not cover the area with a bandage or use in conjuction with a heat pack. Wash your hands thoroughly after using.

There are three main active ingredients in the Thentix Pain Formula. These are:
Capsicum Oleoresin
Methyl Salicylate
Chondroitin Sulfate
Capsicum Oleoresin is the ‘hot stuff’. This is the stuff from chili peppers and is what inflames the mucous membranes. It makes the eyes burn. (Note: Do be careful after applying Thentix Pain Formula not to put your fingers near your eyes.) It is used in Pepper Spray.
Capsicum is also used in many medicated creams for its abilities to ease joint and muscle pain. Capsicum activates certain nerve cells which over time reduces substance “P” – a substance believed to transmit pain in the body.
Capsaicin Oleoresin is used in Thentix Pain Formula for its ability to temporarily relieve muscle or joint pain caused by strains, sprains, arthritis, bruising, or backaches.

We recently released Thentix without fragrance at the Big E in Massachusetts. The Big E is the major fair or Exposition that takes place in Springfield, MA for 17 days in Sept and the first few days of October. It is huge and caters to the New England states. It has all the trappings of a fair and these big old buildings for each of the states – Vermont, New Hampshire etc. You can get things like local honey and maple syrup from each of the states.
Our product without the fragrance was a great success! We were in the same building as usual – the Young Building or for the Fair it is called the International Building. Thentix ‘A Touch of Honey’ is found there as it is manufactured in Canada. Please note that the way you can tell the Canadian bees apart is that they have instead of stripes, a small maple leaf. (Just kidding – though most are pretty religious about attending hockey games.)
It is pretty ironic though – that a product made by bees will take the pain out of a bee sting almost immediately and bring any swelling down. There were some bees buzzing around and several people who got stung came to us for that instant relief.

Perfumes and fragrances are a big deal these days. Many offices and other work places have rules prohibiting the use of perfumes as many people have an increased sensitivity. We recently introduced the Thentix – “A Touch of Honey” without perfume or added fragrance. It is completely inert – there is not smell to it at all. Now you can use Thentix at work and no one will notice that you are wearing anything at all.
Thentix “A Touch of Honey” is the same great product – a healing cream – that is effective against everything from dry skin to psoriasis, cracked heals and cracked knuckles in the winter. You can check out our site map on the main Thentix website to see the many thing that Thentix helps with.

The trick is balance. The manufacturers of Thentix worked hard and long to keep the integrity of the product, Thentix, while removing the parabens and still have a product that will still have a decent shelf life. Trying to balance the ingredients of a product that has both water and oils … Now you have a product that will keep but has no harmful parabens. No methyl paraben and no propyl paraben. In case any one was curious there is also not propylene glycol.
You can find out more about Thentix at our website.
