Grapeseed Oil Massage

Any number of oils can be used for massage.  Grapeseed oil is wonderful for this as it has almost no odor and being a light oil it is not greasy – it has a very fine, silky texture.  For anyone with nut allergies it is safe to use – grapeseed oil is non-allergenic.  It makes a good substitute for almond oil.  If this is not an issue, it can also be mixed with other oils. Experiment!

Besides grapeseed oil’s silky feel it is also great for the skin.  Rich in linoleic acid which is important for cell membranes it helps with regeneration of cells and is a marvelous moisturizer.  Vitamin E, minerals and protein within grapeseed oil also help rejuvenate the skin.  Grapeseed oil’s astrigent qualities help with acne and it is used in numerous other skin products.  It will help tighten and tone the skin. It is used in sunburn lotion, lip balm and other types of body creams and lotions.  You get the added benefit of great skin on top of a great massage!  Add a bit of your favorite aroma and use it for aromatherapy massage.

If you bath or shower after a massage the grapeseed oil will wash away very easily.

You will find grapeseed oil in Thentix: A Touch of Honey.
